Returns procedure
We hope that you are pleased with your purchase from www.bluespot.co.uk.
However, we understand there are occasions when you need to return goods to us.
Goods damaged in transit
If your goods were damaged in transit, we require that you report it to us within
seven days. If goods are visibly damaged on receipt, you must sign the delivery
note accordingly. Once the damaged goods have been received back into our warehouse,
we’ll issue a brand new replacement, free of charge.
If you have changed your mind
If you have changed your mind and you are a private customer (not applicable
to business customers), and the goods have been in your possession for less than
seven days, then you are entitled to return the goods to us for a refund by the
same means that the original payment was made, less our outward carriage costs,
on condition that you take reasonable care of the goods until they are returned
to us. Specifically this means that you will:
- not open shrink-wrapped or blister pack products or break any manufacturer's
seals
- not load software onto any device
- return in good condition all packaging, manuals, cables etc.
The cost of returning qualifying items is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend
that goods are insured whilst in transit to our warehouse and that a proof of delivery
is obtained.
Goods that cannot be returned
Certain categories of product are ineligible for our seven day return policy.
These goods include:
- Units that have been powered up, installed, modified, damaged or abused
- Products supplied to a customer's special-order request
- Products customised at the purchaser's request before dispatch
- Cut to length cables
- Radio security codes and activated security devices
- DVD-ROM / CD-ROM / SD memory card navigation, software and data discs
Goods testing faulty within 28 days of receipt
If you are reporting faulty goods within 28 days of receipt, then when the goods
are returned to us complete, we’ll issue a brand new replacement.
Goods testing faulty more than 28 days after receipt
If you are reporting faulty goods more than 28 days after receipt, then we may
put you in contact with the manufacturer's service department. This is usually the
quickest way to have a fault repaired. For example in most cases, manufacturers
provide a full on-site technical service with telephone help
facilities for your convenience.
Packaging faulty goods for return
Please note that it is in the interest of all parties to ensure that any faulty
goods being returned to us are sufficiently packaged to protect against loss and/or
damage during carriage, handling and/or sorting. Where therefore you intend to return
any faulty goods, then we strongly recommend that you return those goods well protected
from any rough handling that may occour on their return journey.
Where it is not possible to use the original packaging, then please ensure that
the goods to be returned are sufficiently packaged and cushioned to provide protection
against any reasonably predictable shocks, puncturing, scratching and/or damage
that may occour during carriage, handling and/or sorting.
Where we have agreed to collect the goods from you, then our appointed carrier
shall be entitled to inspect the quantity, condition and adequacy of the packaging,
but it should be noted that it is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient
packaging is used to protect the returned goods as stated.
In the event that www.bluespot.co.uk reasonably considers that the goods
are damaged during carriage, handling and/or sorting due to insufficient or improper
protective packaging by you, then www.bluespot.co.uk shall not be liable for
any loss and/or damage to those good and shall be entitled to reject any goods that
do not meet the criteria laid out above. If we have cause to reject any goods, then
we shall return those goods to you.
