Blaupunkt Melbourne SD27 SD card receiver key features

If you have moved on from disc and only listen to radio and tracks stored on memory cards, the Blaupunkt Melbourne SD27 is the ideal choice.

This head unit does not play CDs!

Quality RDS radio receiver with front panel mounted SD/MMC memory card reader and aux-input stereo jack socket.

Black removable front panel, large white display and red button illumination.

Easily upgradeable with connections for remote control, iPod, CD changer, external amplifiers, Bluetooth and personal hi-fi auxiliary input.

Radio tuner features:

LW / MW / FM waveband coverage. 30 stations can be preset
RDS-AF (alternate frequency) feature inaudibly retunes the receiver to the best available signal for the station that is currently set
Travelstore automatically stores the six most powerful radio stations transmitting locally in the FM memory bank
TA (traffic announcement) will switch station for the duration of a traffic report. The original station is restored at the end of the report. Tone, balance and volume of traffic announcements can be independently set
PTY-EON (programme type) information displays and allows selection of similar types of programme (news, pop, classics, sport etc.)
Preset scan will play all receivable stations for a period (can be adjusted between 5 and 30 seconds)

Memory card reader features:

Card reader mounted on front panel will accept either SD or MMC type memory cards (max size 4GB)
Cards can contain either MP3 or WMA files. (WMA files must be DRM free and created with Windows Media Player 8 or later)
MP3 bit rates up to 320kb/sec. WMA files up to 192kb/sec
Display can be configured to show or scroll track name / artist / album / track time
Track repeat, scan, search and random play functions available

Amplifier features:

4 x 45W max power amplifier (4 x 18W RMS). Separate adjustments for treble, middle, bass, fader, balance and Q factor
Source-specific sound adjustment. Bass, middle and treble can be different for each sound input source
Equaliser is preset with settings suited to either POP, ROCK, or CLASSIC music styles, or adjust manually
X-BASS loudness sound enhancement for low level listening. Programmable in four stages with selectable cut-off frequency
Power-on, muted, telephone call and navigation announcement volumes can be independently set
Four channel (3.0V) preamp output for connecting external amplifiers (requires accessory cable)

Other features:

Blaupunkt compatible infra-red remote controls can be added as an optional accessory. Unit can be linked to many makes of factory-fitted remote controls with an additional adaptor
Telephone audio can be fed through radio's amplifier and listened to via vehicle speaker system (requires accessory lead)
Front panel mounted stereo jack socket for direct connection of iPod, MP3 player etc.
Second auxiliary input socket available at rear of radio (requires accessory cable) (Not available if Bluetooth interface , iPod interface or CD changer is connected)
Display brightness during day and nighttime can be adjusted to suit viewing conditions
Clock display (12/24hour) can be selected. Clock display can show continuously when any audio source is in use or unit is switched off, but ignition on
Compatible Blaupunkt aftermarket CD changers can be connected. Disc number, track number and track time can be displayed
